Enabling Every Body
The D*List is the digital home of disability culture in Aotearoa. An online culture magazine dedicated to authentic storytelling where people are encouraged to participate unapologetically in shared experiences. A place where stories are told by disabled people – for disabled people.
We were delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with NZ Human Rights Commission and creative agency Curative to co-design a content-driven website as a beacon of solidarity and an online space that brings communities of disabled people together. The D*List provides content and experiences that amplify, connect and celebrate the voices of disabled people and tangata whaikaha Māori to fundamentally shift how we think, talk and feel about disability.
The D*List brand is disruptive, unapologetic and bold. The website needed to reflect the authenticity of the brand, encompassing core principles of accessibility, inclusion and disability leadership. In partnership with Curative, we led a design-led development process to craft a website that emboldens, amplifies and elevates disabled people and our communities.
We created this space for you. You are welcome here. Every part of you. The parts that can sometimes feel too disabled. The parts that might not feel disabled enough. We ask nothing of you other than to simply exist as your full and unapologetic self.
